IJ Start Canon PIXMA TS9500 Configuration– The inkjet all-in-one printer Wireless Canon Pixma TS9500 (US $249.99) is a photo printer for home use in large format for household and domestic. Is the first in the series Canon TS having an automatic document feeder and the ability to print pages to tabloid size, and one of the first print Pixmas “smart” without hands. Like the other printers all-in-one of five Canon inks, TS9500 produces texts, photos and graphics of excellent appearance, but, like most photo printers commonly used, its high cost of operation the upstaging down volume. Nevertheless, Rico your feature set and excellent performance rise in our large format printer Editors ‘ Choice.

Wallop in large format
Unlike their younger brothers TS series of letter-size (8.5 by 11 inches) that come with some different color chassis, comes only in black TS9500, and ADF 20 sheets and is of support for large format pages make it a little taller and broader than previous models of TS series. With 7.6 for 18.5 per 14.5 inches (HWD) and weighing in at 21.3 pounds, the footprint of the TS9500 requires a little more space than the Canon Pixma TS9120, who also excels at just over 6 pounds. Epson Express-Premium E-7750, the ADF-less, Epson, an AIO bulk ink, is significantly larger and about 3 pounds heavier than TS9500. The MFC-J6935DW Brother, oriented to the business office, is even more wide and weighs 31.5 kilos more than the TS9500.

The paper input capacity is TS9500 200 sheets divided between the main 100-sheet cassette that slides under the 100-sheet output tray and a 100-sheet tray that is pulled up and out on the back of the chassis. You can load the two trays with the same media or can deploy two different media types from separate sources. The TS9500 is able to print borderless up to letter-size pages and, though I hope you load photo paper in the rear tray, also does a good job in detecting the correct size of the media.

The Pixma TS9120 and the TS6120 also contain up to 200 sheets of two sources, while the ET-7750 of Epson comes with two trays of 100 sheets and a paper tray of 20 photo size leaves in the front paper cassette. The four ink cartridges MFC AIO-Brother J6935DW, small and compact, tabloid-sized, 500 sheets divided between three sources and, in addition to print large format pages, can also scan them, copy them and send them by fax. The Tango X HP, on the other hand, has only 50 sheets until the legal size (8.5 by 14 inches).

The Canon does not publish more the cycle of work and/or volume classifications recommended for its consumer-level printers.

Configuration and monitoring tasks, how to make copies, scan to a network drive or to the cloud and so on, are treated in the control panel of touch screen 4.3 inches of TS9500

If you are an avid scrapbooker, check out our review of the Pixma TS9521C, which is a replica of the friendly TS9500 crafter. He supports the scrapbooking paper size of 12 for 12 inches, a wide selection of templates and printable templates incorporated and some other notable creation features.

Multiple connections and Mobile Maneuvers
Standard connectivity interfaces on TS9500 include Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth 2.0 LE (Low Energy), PictBridge in wired or wireless LAN and a slot for SD memory card even though you do not see the options of peer-to-peer network Wi-Fi Direct or Near-Field Communication (NFC) in this list, the Bluetooth LE is a peer-to-peer protocol that allows any Bluetooth-compatible device LE 20 feet radius connect to the printer. And nowadays, almost any mobile device that supports Wi-Fi Direct also supports the standard Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. the PictBridge Protocol lets you print directly from cameras and digital video compatible.

You can also print from mobile devices with the Canon Print app, which lets you print and scan for the smartphone, as well as several sites in the cloud, including the Canon Image Gateway, Dropbox, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.

The TS9500 is also compatible with the application Easy-PhotoPrint Editor. As the name suggests, allows you to edit your photos before printing them. It also provides access to a wide range of sites, as well as tools for cleaning of red eyes and other fixes, automatic cutting and applying filters and much more.

Yet another interesting mobile function is the Message In Print, a feature that Canon brought from your photo printer Selphy. Similar to the Lifeprint Hyperphoto and augmented reality capabilities of HP Sprocket 2nd Edition, the application Message In Print from Canon allows you to embed hidden messages-text, animations, music, video links and other creative additions- directly within the image.

Friends, family or co-workers can (after downloading and installing the application) hold the cameras from their mobile devices on the photo to view their personalized messages or opening the links contained in the images. As I said about this feature in my recent analysis of TS9521C, this technology is not new to the latest devices from Canon, but your support for a wide variety of media types-text messaging to video links-is perhaps more practical than the another. implementations of reality that I saw.

Included Software
In addition to the mobile software, printer driver and scanning utility, here’s an overview of the programs that the Canon includes with TS9500:

Easy-PhotoPrint Editor: this software can be used to edit and print the images stored on your computer or in the cloud. As your mobile equivalent, it also allows you to edit and print various documents, such as calendars, collages, greeting cards, and more, from templates included.

My printer: This Windows-only program allows you to adjust your settings, as well as diagnose and fix problems with your printer. You can also use it to upload screen shots and other data to support Canon for help to solve a problem.

Network tool: this utility allows you to view and modify network settings for a printer, scanner or multifunction from Canon. It is installed when the Canon machine is configured and monitors the network for changes that could affect the performance.

Quick menu: this is a collection of quick-access icons or shortcuts for the various programs and utilities installed with your printer.

PosterArtist Lite: you can add this collection of poster and signage templates (in administration, education, hospitals, photo collages, Restaurants, retail, signs and warnings and special events) to your images, graphics and text to create looking for signs and other adornments.

As the Tango X mentioned earlier and the recent TS9521C AIO Crafters from Canon, the TS9500 is a printer “smart” mainly because it interacts with the Amazon Alexa or Google’s Smart Home devices, although other platforms support technology of IFTTT script (If This Then That), are available.

The scripts IFTTT facilitate automated workflow profiles and perfect, or printer applications, which are raised when the printer receives a code from a voice-activated device. In short, the IFTTT allows hands-free printing.

Pixma print speeds and output quality
Like most other TS series models, the Canon ranks in 15 TS9500 monochrome pages per minute (ppm) and 10 ppm in color. I tested it over Ethernet from our pattern PC equipped with Intel Core i5 processor with Windows 10 Professional. The TS9500 printed our 12 monochrome text document Microsoft Word pages on average 13.4 ppm, or about a page and a half slower than your rank, but 0.8 ppm faster than TS9521C. The ET-7750 wide format Epson Photo-centric managed 13.8 ppm and MFC-J6935DW Brother (also large format) printed the same pages of text to 16.5 ppm.

I should also point out that, although they are tabloid sized printers, since most of the family printing and Office at home (and most prints in General) is letter size, used test of 8.5 by 11 inches. The tabloid-sized pages contain twice the printable area, therefore, with roughly the same percentage of coverage, they should take twice as long to be printed.

In the next part of my tests, print multiple color documents and complex of Acrobat, Excel and PowerPoint, and then combined the results with the text document printing of 12 previous pages. Here, the TS9500 produced a rate of 4.7 ppm. This is a negligible 0.3 ppm faster than TS9500, but 3.3 ppm after Epson ET-7750 and more than twice as fast as the MFC-J6935DW.

Finally, I marked the TS9500 (and your brother TS9521C) to print our colorful and highly detailed snapshots of 4 by 6 inches in an average of 23 seconds. This score hit all but the 7 seconds of MFC-J6935DW, with the HP Tango X bringing back in 59 seconds. Anything faster than 60 seconds in this part of our tests is reputable.

How to print quality, as I have said many times, a few machines print better than the Pixmas of five and six. The TS9500 produces up to 6 points of serif and sans-serif fonts common clear, well-formed and highly legible, and the various thematic and decorative fonts not so common that we tested were also good. Business, charts, graphs and photographs incorporated to print were more than attractive enough to use internal and external trade.

However, he faced a particularly challenging PowerPoint handout with a background gradient dark green to black. Instead of flowing smoothly from one color to the other, the gradient joined and remarkably shade shadow stepped on. This dispersion paint failure was not necessarily extravagant or even unattractive, but was obviously not the intended effect.

This brings us to the photographic TS9500 output. There are other Pixmas and Epson’s competitors cameras that print exceptional photos. The pictures of all of them well resist TS9500. As I said recently on the TS9521C, while the TS9120 and TS8120 of six inks appear a detailed inspection, contain a range of colors a bit louder, I have no complaints about the output of AIO.

No option of bulk ink
Without an incentive discount ink, consumer-level photo printers as that cost too much to use. The incentive of instant ink HP Tango X, on the other hand, offers paint as low as 3.5 cents per color or monochrome page; and the EcoTank system from Epson-7750 print black pages ET for less than 1 cent and each color page for as little as 1 cent.

With the way the Canon bundles its ink cartridges and publishes their income per cartridge, I can’t calculate the operating costs with the same formula that the PCMag uses for other printers. Suffice it to say that the costs of operation of the TS9500 are high enough to cost more to use than any of the printers mentioned in the previous paragraph. My guess is that the monochrome pages cost about twice as much as on printers compatible with Instant Ink and more than 10 times in EcoTank models.

Excellent for low-volume offices
Although the Canon Pixma TS9500 may not be the cheapest to operate printer, the cost of consumables will not be very difficult over time if you don’t print thousands of pages per month. And your huge amount of excellent resources outweighs any concern: in addition to being an excellent photo printer, it is also a versatile Office AIO, making it our new favorite photo printer for home use and familiar. If you enjoy scrapbooking and other types of Arts and crafts, the TS9521C is a great option too.
